We understand that circumstances change. This policy explains how AMRUTHA DHAMA FOUNDATION handles refund requests for donations and sponsorship payments.

1. General Principles

AMRUTHA DHAMA FOUNDATION is committed to maintaining donor trust and handling all financial transactions with complete transparency and fairness.

As a registered not-for-profit organisation, all donations received are used for child welfare programs. We treat refund requests seriously and handle each case with care, empathy, and promptness.

2. One-Time Donations

For one-time donations made through our website:

  • check_circleRefund requests submitted within 7 days of the transaction date will be reviewed and generally approved, provided the donated funds have not yet been disbursed.
  • cancelRefund requests submitted after 7 days will not be accepted, as funds will have been allocated to ongoing programs.
  • infoIf a tax receipt (80G) has already been issued, we may request the donor to return the certificate before processing the refund, as required by tax laws.

3. Sponsorship Payments

For recurring monthly or annual sponsorship contributions:

  • check_circleCancellation: You may cancel your recurring sponsorship at any time by contacting us. Cancellations take effect for the next billing cycle.
  • cancelPast Payments: Sponsorship payments already processed and disbursed to child welfare programs are non-refundable.
  • infoMost Recent Payment: If your most recent payment was made within the last 48 hours and no services have yet been rendered against it, a refund request may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

4. Duplicate Transactions

If you have been charged more than once for the same transaction due to a technical error:

  • check_circlePlease contact us with your transaction reference numbers for both charges so we can investigate promptly.
  • check_circleRazorpay's transaction records will be used to verify duplicate payments.

5. Failed Transactions

In cases where payment has been deducted from your account but not received by us:

  • autorenewMost failed transaction refunds are automatically processed by Razorpay within 5–7 business days.
  • support_agentIf you have not received a refund after 7 business days, please contact us with your transaction reference number and bank statement screenshot.
  • check_circleWe will liaise with Razorpay on your behalf to resolve the issue.

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us using one of the methods below. Include as much detail as possible to help us process your request quickly.

8. Processing Time

Once a refund request is approved:

  • infoYour bank or card issuer may take additional time to reflect the refund, typically 3–5 additional working days.

9. Tax Receipt Implications

If a tax receipt under Section 80G has been issued for a donation and you subsequently receive a refund, the donation will no longer qualify for the associated tax deduction. You are responsible for updating your tax filings accordingly. We recommend consulting a tax professional if you are unsure.
